Before the Bell Announces Speaker Lineup for its edition on Infrastructure: A Look at ICT

Minister of Rural Economic Development the Hon. Bernadette Jordan headlines Before the Bell discussion on ICT.

Before the Bell host Catherine Clark and special guest co-host David Akin, announce the guest lineup for the next show on infrastructure in Canada and a look at information and communications technology (ICT).The show is this Thursday, April 11 at 8:00 am at the National Arts Centre.

Catherine and David’s guests on Before the Bell include: Minister of Rural Economic Development, Hon. Bernadette Jordan MP (South Shore – St. Margaret), Colin Earp, partner KPMG, Carole Saab, executive director policy and public affairs, Federation of Canadian Municipalities, Cara Salci, national director of public affairs and communications with Thales Canada Inc, Greg Weston, partner with Earnscliffe Strategy Group, Craig Stewart, vice president federal affairs, Insurance Bureau of Canada and, Joanne Stanley, executive director Women in Communication and Technology.  Finally, David Coletto CEO of Abacus Data will discuss latest insight on Canadians’ perceptions.

According to FDI Intelligence, Canada has 39,000 ICT companies providing 36,000 jobs.  Last year, the Trudeau government launched its supercluster initiative with two areas of specific ICT focus – digital media and artificial intelligence.  And while Canada ranks highest in among OECDs most educated talent pool, questions remain as to our readiness to prepare for the interconnectedness of our communities.
