Greg Weston

Greg Weston is one of Canada’s leading communicators and a trusted expert in media and communications. He is a valued strategic advisor to a variety of corporations, public agencies and other organizations. Greg is also a successful entrepreneur, a best-selling author, award-winning journalist and lecturer. He brings to clients a rare combination of experience in media, public affairs and business spanning four decades. As a consultant, he has advised corporations and public sector agencies across a range of sectors including healthcare, renewable energy, telecommunications, robotics, internet technologies, waste management, consumer sales and technology commercialization.

His career as a highly respected journalist and commentator on national politics and government affairs provides clients with unique insights and perspectives on a broad spectrum of national issues affecting business and public policy. Greg was one of Canada’s leading voices in journalism for more than 30 years, earning numerous national awards, including the Michener Award for Meritorious Public Service in Journalism, one of Canada’s highest media honors, and the prestigious Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University. He is the author of two best-selling books.

Most recently, Greg headed his own strategic communications firm after a successful engagement with a leading public opinion research company. He was previously a strategic consultant to a number of publicly-traded technology and telecom start-ups during the 1990s, including one Canadian company he helped guide to a 1,300-per-cent equity growth.

Greg appears regularly as an analyst and commentator on the CTV National Network, including as a weekly panelist on the popular segment “The Strategists,” part of CTV’s PowerPlay with Don Martin. Previously, he was the National Affairs Specialist for CBC National News, and has been named an Honorary Life Member of the Parliamentary Press Gallery.
