They’re really convincing and can definitely work.

Still, the posts are too brief for newbies. May you please

Comment on Chasing Answers on Housing in Canada by J. Housing and health has been part of my research life for 30 years including in Nunavut and currently in the Sioux Lookout Zone (where Cat Lake is located). With my colleague from CHEO, Dr. Tom Kovesi we spoke to the Senate Finance committee on this last spring.

The housing issue in many First Nations Communities is at a critical point: where are we and really what should be done and can be done.

Comment on OPINION | More Needs To Be Done to Unlock the Door To Homeownership – Fast! by Jody Tindill /2019/04/23/opinion-more-needs-to-be-done-to-unlock-the-door-to-homeownership-fast/comment-page-1/#comment-1189 Thu, 02 May 2019 15:14:39 +0000 /?p=3416#comment-1189 Excellent article Kevin! As a small Homebuilder in what is deemed an affordable area to live, we have seen cost escalation of 20% due to a variety of government policies at all levels as well as a labour shortage that started last fall. We lost money last year for the first time and this year is looking much worse so far. Both new construction and renovation projects are just not going ahead because of the costs. The stress test is one factor but the massive cost increases across the board is a much more prevalent problem in our area. The urgency is there for tariff relief and relief for any other factor increasing costs for construction. This is impacting all construction including commercial and industrial projects, the situation feels quite dire.
